So here's the big question. Did you call anyone from the conservation dept to come look at it or get a DNA sample? I still think that it doesn't look like a full on domestic dog, but I don't believe we have "coywolves" just running around here either.

The fact is some people keep hybrid wolf dogs in captivity.Some even call them pets.We had neighbors in the 90's that had two of them.The first one ran off while in heat and was never seen again.I always figured someone shot it not knowing what they had. Recently I was told by a reliable source, that a man in Pell City had a pen with what he claims are full blooded wolves.Some of the people who keep these animals may not be the most responsible of owners as they could be.Having a hybrid wolf around here was kind of a status symbol among certain groups,kind of like having a pitbull is today.
