I shoot 73# because I can comfortably. I recommend shooting what’s comfortable because everyone is going to be different. The year after I had shoulder surgery I was shooting 55# and killed them just fine. Good luck

That’s my point Kodak. Some of these young bucks be rippin those arrows but can’t hit the side of a barn. Not to mention they’ll be struggling with all kinds of movement to get it pulled back.

60 is plenty. Just get the right draw LENGTH.

It's really all about being comfortable behind the bow if your comfortable at 60lb shoot it my wife hunts with 55 if your comfortable with 75-80 shoot it. Having a bow set up to fit you and choosing an arrow and broadhead combo that works with your draw weight is way more important than the speed.

I pull 90lbs but 80 feels so good that I shoot 65.... whistle

Exactly Sonny. Ive practiced with folks that point their bow up, struggle to draw it and then bring it down to aim. I just shake my head.

I ask them if they really think a deer is going to tolerate all that movement? You have to be able to SMOOTHLY draw when seated for sure or youre pulling way to much weight . Mine is around 63 or 64#'s.
