Looking to put it on. Revelation model 105 (Marilin model 80). Reasonably close range stuff. Squirrel, possum, etc. No 100 yard stuff. What is out there that works but isn't expensive. This is a casual shooting gun for chit in my country backyard. Then I need rings and mounts too.

Get the cheap Bushnell. I hunted with one on a deer rifle for 3 years and it was great.
I think mine was a Sportview. Don’t believe they make it anymore. The Banner is $70 on Amazon. Ones I’ve had weren’t bad for a cheap scope.

I have used several Simmons 22Mag scopes and all have worked just fine.

bushnell banner 4x32 with circle-plex. best $70 you'll spend on a scope.

See if you can find one of these on sale with Nikon scopes being discontinued. Have adjustable objective is very nice at close ranges.

I have had a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9x32 on a Marlin 60 for a dozen years that has done very well as my backyard critter harassment tool. That scope and rifle along with a flashlight mounted on the magazine tube have ended many an armadillo.

^^^^ This. Sightron glass is great even in their low end scopes.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Burris fullfield makes a good scope that won’t break the bank. I like at least a 2-7 on anything I have.
I’d prob go Nikon with their prices dropping though.
