A lot of 45's jam with hollow points but not ball ammo. You might consider something like these bullets. I've been shooting Hornady Critical Defense. They have polymer tipped HP's and never jam. Something to think about for self defense.

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

I like Winchester Ranger T. So far I have not had a single malfunction

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

stay away from those wide mouth hollow points and you won't have jamming probs with a 1911, unless yer a pansy and just limp wrist the hell out of it.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

A lot of the jamming is caused by the bullet snagging on the feed ramp .That is the hollow points. The ball ammo slides right in the barrel like it should.
Sometimes you can polish the feed ramp and it helps quite a bit. I usually shoot the 230 grain fmj most of the time. I have an old Thompson .45 and it shoots great.
My mother in law found it in one of her husband's old tackle boxes after he died, and she gave it to me.It had been in there about 20 years and I had to do a lot of work to get it right.

It's not how much money you make, but how much you can keep.

In the old days if the Speer 200 grain flying ashtray would feed anything would. I miss that bullet and what I could make it do with Bluedot.

Only hits count.
