I would start out with a RCBS kit. JMHO.

Nothing wrong with Rcbs. Once sent back an 8mm/06 die from the early 60's no charge on replacement.

Only hits count.

I started on a Dillon 650. Had no trouble operating it and made fine ammo. But I've started loading on my RCBS Rockchucker just so I can make every step as precision as possible. I'd go with RCBS and either get the kit or just the press and buy things that I need when I need them. Lyman may have good stuff, I just don't personally know anybody that uses them exclusively.

RCBS is quality stuff. Lyman may be too I just don’t know. Gotta be careful, some of stuff is made in China and I ain’t having that.

Thanks all, looks like RCBS will be my choice. I’ve got a good friend that’s been reloading as far back as I can remember, gonna spend some time picking his brain before I start.

Pick up a Sierra Loading guide and READ IT. When your done reading it, READ it again.

When you set up your loading bench, do it in a space dedicated to this purpose. No kids running around, no TV, no distractions to divert your thoughts away from the small explosive charges you are creating.

I have the Lyman crusher press. Been using it for 15+ years. Everything from reduced deer loads for kids, to 1250 yard long range primer poppers. Makes fine ammo, if you do your part and know exactly what you're doing.

You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Yes! The best advice. Do exactly what he said.

Yeah, I only reload when nobody's around, as is GONE for a while.
Slow, methodical, steady, focused.
