I was talking to an equipment operator on a job today. He lives near Rehobeth in Gees Bend. ((This would be one of James' neighbours) I asked him if he was doing any good deer hunting? He said he hadn’t killed as many this year as he had been. He said he had only killed 48! Said he had usually been killing around 70 and selling them the last few years. He said the Lord had spoken to him and told him that it was wrong to kill and sale the deer.

He only kills one now when some one asks for a deer.

Makes you wonder why the deer population is in a decline in some areas!

Not sure about how it is in Alabama but in Florida I think it is illegal to sell deer. If that is true he must be killing 3 or 4 every time he goes.

Got near me sold a heap of em to Mexicans for $25. They come get em and pay him. I tried like hell to get him caught and finally did. Hooked his sorry pos ass up.

Good lord Dw that guy was selling them cheap. Old friend of mine that was a bad pot head at the time now meth head use to quit work every year when season came in. He hunted every day and sold them Mexicans for $75 he got $100 if he didn’t gut them. We hunted with him one weekend and he killed one on Friday and it still had guts in it Sunday when he went home.

I killed 32 does my senior year in high school cause we’d were managing population on a few places in Dallas co. It was work. Piss on that. I think I’d just quit hunting a deer today. I about have anyway. It’s boring. You shoot that many that often I’m out.

My Grandpa said back in the 90s (or whenever it was when they started allowing 2 does a day and 1 buck a day.) It was nothing for him to kill 20 deer a season I think he said the most he killed in one year was 30. He was lucky to hunt some pretty good land also.

I'm betting that most of those deer were shot with the aid of a spotlight.

I think I could kill 40 or 50 if I had to but I think it would get hard to do after the first year. You could put a big dent in the population in a hurry killing that many deer

I can't imagine being THAT mad at them. I shot 6-7 per year for several years and that was plenty.
