If you were in the market for a Ebike like a quiet kat ranger or a 750W / 48V rear hub , how much would y'all be willing to spend?

I can see your point, but I still think your full of crap.

The question is how much do you need or want to spend without wishing later that you hadn't. What will this bike allow you to do that you can't do now on a conventional one?

In addition to RH Clark, what terrain. Flat or hilly.

I’ve got one I’d sell for $400, needs a stronger motor for hills. You can build one yourself for $1000 that will smoke most of the commercial bikes

Just ordered one of these. https://hardcoreecycles.com
Call Mike and talk with him. He’s a good guy and it sounds like it’s going to be a jam up bike.

You are too young to be using a bike. Use the 2 wheel drive the good lord gave you. smile

For me a good reason for an E bike would be for someone who still wanted to ride a bicycle but couldn't really keep up with their bicycle riding friends.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ED0m3CbRLcI

That one from the hardcore cycles link is way heavier than anything I would want. If you get something as heavy as a dirt bike it would just be cheaper to get a dirt bike and about as useful since you will have to use mostly motor power anyway to power it.

Personally ,I will ride my mountain bike until I am too old and it will be a long time from now. I'm nearly 52 and can go most anywhere on my regular MTB and I'm glad I put in the time to be able to.

I bought a Rad Rover e-bike last year and upgraded the controller and display. Before the upgrade, I would have to “assist” the bike by pedaling when going up a decent hill. After the upgrade, I can go up EVERY hill on my club without pedaling one time. It’s a game changer for me as I was hauling a golf cart around which was a PITA. I can throw this one in the back of the truck and go. I can cover 10 times the ground with the bike and have ridden right up on deer and turkeys. I hunt heavily pressured turkeys and I can go all over the club without anything/anybody knowing I’m there or WHERE I’ve been. I’ve ridden 20+ miles on mine in a single day and still had battery left. They are expensive as heck but well worth it to me. It’s not for everyone but if you ever get on a good one, you’ll be hooked.

So the appeal over a dirt bike is just no noise?

No noise, no smell, and much lighter to throw over the fence to the property you want to piddle on. When used for hunting you can drive straight up to the base of the tree and lay it down, and you can get there fast without sweating your arse off

I also have a Rad Rover ebike and it has been worth every penny I paid for it. The benefits are numerous for me and I’m not gonna list them all. However several of the guys above covered several of them. The bike works great on the properties I hunt in the Midwest and at home.

You can turn any mountain bike into an electric bike with a conversion kit. Amazon is your friend. Spray paint it black or camo and save yourself a ton of money

I wont buy one. 99% of the places we bike in to hunt do not allow motorized access. I can also keep my $500 mountain bike and buy more hunting stuff.
A good bikes gonna be a couple grand and for that kinda money you can get an atv

I really enjoy hunting off of mine. I rarely crank the four wheeler. Mine has a 1000 watt motor and three speed internal hub. Hills are no problem. Easy to haul around.

Well, I am gonna have to admit it. I used to pick on Squeaky about his bicycle.....until I actually tried it for myself!

The benefits are too numerous to mention.
But, I would suggest that you try if for yourself before making a final decision.

Oh, and always take the key out and up into the stand with you. You don’t want the deer or turkeys to jump on it and take off! smile
