Blowing through a coffee straw and ice water to face are a couple we used back in my ER days, mostly used these while someone was getting either the adenosine or attaching the defibrillator to light ‘em up.
Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.

Supraventricular Tachycardia Oh, that cleared up every thing for me. Sounds like you've got a big fart coming. Basically all 4 chambers of your heart start freaking out. My heart rate will elevate to 190-210bpm and hold there for 30 minutes to 3 hours. You are positive you’re dying because you’re body thinks it’s dying so you get an overwhelming sense of dread on top of all this. It’s pretty miserable and don’t wish it on anyone
