When I came to Redstone in 1990 for my 2nd AIT we had an inner NY city kid that cornered one by the dumpsters right before PT calling kitty kitty. It unloaded on him and PT was cancelled. All the Drill Instructors cars were parked in that general area. It was one of those episodes while in the Army you just never forget. Those DIs had no mercy on him. We all went and showered and kicked back. He washed cars inside and out for days and they made him say here kitty kitty the whole time he was washing their cars.

This is funny. I thought the same thing for the last two weeks in st.clair co between rainbow city and moody. Awfull!!!!!! Smell them pole cats 1/2 mile before you get to them. Last full moon I counted 3 ran over in a one mile stretch.

Was thinkin the same the other day, seen some Really big, long haired skunks dead on the road.
Will they respond to a predator call? I'd love to have one mounted.
The ones I've been seeing have had a lot of White on them.

It usually coincides with the whitetail rut ‘round here.
There were 3 dead in a mile or so stretch of Georgia Mtn Rd here last week.
I have 2 interesting memories of skunks and deer hunting when I was a kid.
I hunted with my buddy BT a lot in Woodville. We hunted pretty primitive. Find a cedar with low hanging limbs, climb it, find a comfy crotch or limb and sit. I was doing just that on a real foggy morning up there when I heard leaves rustling. Just knew I was fixing to bust me a deer. Giant skunk came right under me. I held my breath until it got out of sight.
Another time, we came out for lunch and there was a big skunk a long way across a field. BT’s dad tried him. It blew dirt near him. He tried again, same thing. Old skunk would change directions every time. This went on for 4 or 5 shots. It looked like a video game or a war movie. I can still see it clear as a bell in my mind’s eye.

I got one caught in a DP trap bout this time last year. Was nasty
