Sure is good but dangit it's pricey. 5.00 per pound on this jalapeno and cheese. 60 pounds worth.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

Seems like ours is $3 or $3 fiddy a pound but we likes it!

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Guess I should have weighed the meat before I took it. I was guessing around 35-40 pounds but by the time pork, jalapenos, and cheese were added it went north of my estimate. Anyway it is very very good.

I have a friend who had a few 3 lb. sticks done recently and it was $15.00 per stick.

Pricey stuff but oh so good.

On a side note, I heard that Hunter's Gold stopped taking all deer unless it was quartered and in a cooler. I heard that they had been stopped by the gov't on using their dump site for guts, hides and other deer waste.

Fella that was telling me about it was a long time customer and he said that he has found someplace else to take his deer now.

Is there any truth to that?

Not many folks that I know that take a deer to a processor are gonna gut, skin, and quarter it themselves. If you do that much you may as well go on and do the processing yourself.

If that is the truth, I can see that place losing a majority of their business.

Question; how long is a stick good once you thaw it out and and start slicing? Refrigerated , of course. Wish they would not make them so big.

Don't know about the government deal. There is a dumpster on the side of the road a few miles from there and it has a sign reading deer carcasses only.
I took just meat no bones. They did stop taking whole deer. Took almost a month to get mine back due to heavy business
