On a side note, I heard that Hunter's Gold stopped taking all deer unless it was quartered and in a cooler. I heard that they had been stopped by the gov't on using their dump site for guts, hides and other deer waste. Fella that was telling me about it was a long time customer and he said that he has found someplace else to take his deer now. Is there any truth to that? Not many folks that I know that take a deer to a processor are gonna gut, skin, and quarter it themselves. If you do that much you may as well go on and do the processing yourself. There is a dumpster on the side of the road a few miles from there and it has a sign reading deer carcasses only. I took just meat no bones. They did stop taking whole deer.
