Shot a nice 9 point at 60 yards standing broadside. He left town instead of dropping like they usually do. I did see when he ran that he was flagging. I only found three spots of blood and lost the trail after that. Blood was bright red. Any ideas?

Brisket? Leg? Gut?

Let him lay until 4:00pm and got my Brother-in-law to help me look. No other blood than the 3 small spots I saw right after I shot him. He had gone about 75-80 yards and laid down. Weird because the lungs were tore up and it also smelled like gut shot. The shot was thru-and-thru but the only other blood was where he laid down. Bled internally I guess.

Thanks for the advice. Glad I got to find him...
