Just wanted to throw an idea out there to see if anyone was interested. I lease 90 acres near Waverly, Alabama. We see turkey all the time and I know they're out there. I've tried hunting but I'm awful at calling and have no knowledge of "how" to set up and where good spots are. If anyone was close by and wanted to take me hunting a time or two and help me out I'd be very appreciative. This place hasn't been turkey hunted since my buddy leased it over 10 years ago. Figured it might give someone who normally does public land a small place to go if they're interested. I have plenty of people that would want to go deer hunting with me but none that turkey hunt. I'd even be interested in just taking you and watching/learning, I wouldn't need a gun if hunting with a stranger makes you nervous.

Anyways, no shame in asking. I'd love to learn some things first hand so I can eventually hunt them on my own successfully...

It's been turkey hunted whether you realize it or not-be rest assured.

Start practicing you calling and nobody can teach you as well as experience. Get a CD or YouTube of real turkeys calling and practice. I've been hunting the devil birds for years and have have a call going a few times a week since the new year. Also calling doesn't have to be great. It's rhythm and when to call and when not to call. Less is more. You're in a good spot though. Good luck.

Possibly, we keep a pretty good eye on the place but I know it's bound to happen.

I appreciate the PM's guys, will return them here shortly!
