Auburn's guard play is getting exposed now that league play has started. This team has the pieces to be better than last year with the exception of the most important player on the court. The point guard position. Teams will simply set deep in a zone, double Wiley in the post and pressure the ball when it's in Mccormick's hands. Auburn went ice cold today in a tough environment and got what they got. When you shoot 25% from the field you aren't going to beat anyone. It happens.
I imagine Pearl will make adjustments and do what he can but if McCormick is the best they have at the point Auburn will have a tough time as they get deeper into the SEC schedule.

Kentucky might be good by the end of the season but no SEC team is playing at a high level right now. Auburn was within 7 points in the second half while shooting 25percent from the field. They got even colder and got ran out of them gym. Coaches can live with cold shooting nights but not lack of execution on defense and that's what happened in the second half. Pearl can fix that. I expected them to lose this game when I saw it on the schedule last week. Florida was favored coming in and Alabama was only s 1.5 point dog so neither loss wa a shock. Auburn will be a tournament team but unless they find a real point guard they won't go deep again.
