They have been rutting In Conecuh since November. There are about five subspecies here and the reason why we went till Feb 10th then statewide.
Constant rut till mid February
Generally, it seems like MLK weekend starts the peak of dumb rut buck mistakes.

I’m hunting in Red Level. Anybody hunted the last few days seen anymore sign of rut? Some close to the area. My dad killed one Saturday following a doe west of red level

Saw two bucks with does on the way to work in Andalusia this morning. A big 8 and a pretty nice 6......need to be hunting in Covington County right now. Where at?
