19% is what Alabama shot from the 3 pt. range yesterday, 4-21 shooting. 7-12, 58% from the charity strip. This team is so much more fun to watch than last year, but it would be nice if just a few more three's and free throws went into the hoop. That certainly could have been a win over a (mediocre - for them) Kentucky team. They also shoulda coulda woulda beaten Florida last weekend. I did notice they played hard and took it to the basket, the defense was pretty good in the 2nd half. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

This team is well coached and much more dicipli Ed than any of the the Avery teams it’s like night and day.
With that said there are no pure shooters in this team. And by that I mean someone that’s going to always give you 15+ a game no matter what. This team has to rely on turnovers, good D and getting up and down the floor to score. When they get fouled and go to the line they miss half the shots. Nate needs to recruit some shooters. Watch AU. They’ll have the point guard drive hard to the glass and kick it out to someone around the arch. Great point guards are like great QB’s. The pure shooters are the great WR’s who score all the points. The talent just isn’t there yet. I think he’ll have it going in 3-4 years. It took Pearl that long at AU with all the injuries and transfers he had early on, but now it’s like a well greased machine. Fun to watch.
