I was thinking about this last night... I wonder how many losses LSU would have had this past year without those two. At least Auburn and Alabama.

Which leads me to this year... looking at their schedule, how many losses does LSU have in the 2020 season?

It's going to be interesting to see how good a coach Orgeron is this year. Saban seems to lose a coordinator almost every year and somehow keeps the program rolling. I wonder how long the LSU fans will remember the championship after a few 3-4 loss seasons?

Thats the difference between a championship season and a dynasty. As an Auburn fan I was in no way believing we were on the cusp of a dynasty years back, we had a great team and things came together well. I actually liked the Nick Marshall led team better but we blew it against FSU.

There have only been a few dynasty teams in college football, Alabama can claim it as well as some of the teams from way back. Clemson is pretty much in that boat now no matter how ugly their mascot is.

But fans should should enjoy the moment and then look forward to whats next. Champions or not that team has always had some good players on defense and a running game; my guess is that they will try to bring in a similar guy and recruit more slingers.

Yeah.....people can pump of Coach O all they want, and I will give it to him, he assembled a hell of a staff. Having said that, this team reminds me a lot of the 2010 Auburn team.
Being able to play together, all on the same page Offense/Defense/ST. Injury luck. (almost bit them mid season), but they held it together and got some much needed talent/depth back as the season went on. Couple that with the fact that they had a lot of calls go their way through out the season and it was a perfect storm.

Teams that go on a championship run, need a little luck to make through the season. LSU was that team this year. Looking back to great championship seasons, Bama in 09 needed 2 blocked FG's to beat UT that year. 2010 Auburn everyone remembers the 24-7 halftime comeback of AU at Bama, but no one talks about Clemson taking them to overtime to win in the 3rd game of the season. 05 Texas had a similar scare on their great season that year.

LSU is certainly not a flash in the pan, but as Saban says, getting to the top of the mountain and staying at the top of the mountain are 2 different things.

Their schedule will be no easy task next year. I agree with Shane, I can easily see 9-3 next year.

Me thinkus they shall not be playing Neck as often.
We just watched possibly the best team in CFB history. The amount of talent they have to replace will make things ugly for the Tigahs.

It's a sad thing to have a whole fanbase taking their kids to that game, singing that song. What a corrupt set of values.

That song is not your standard "we're going to beat you" or "we just beat you" type lyrics. So funny.

Losing Brady is going to be worse than Burrow. I watched Burrow for two years and we wasn’t nothing spectacular however, at least now we know he is capable of being a good quarterback. Two other things that helped LSU was the lack of an Alabama defense and an auburn offense. Had either of those two made a play here or there both games would have had a different outcome.
