My son and I will be down there trying to sling an arrow or two.
If anyone else is going to be there, let me know.

Are y’all camping? What section did you get? I was down there two weeks ago. I met a guy on SH.com that will be there this weekend. He is hunting 13, which is the same area I hunted. I gave him any information I could pass along.

We will be in Section 7. We are staying in Jackson, with the weather like it has been, didn't want to try camping.

I hope you’re taking an ATV or at least a 4x4 truck down there. That place gets SLOPPY when it’s been raining like it has lately.

I’ll be on section 12 Jan 30-Feb 2. Biggest advice I can give is don’t hesitate to directly on the food plots and watch for trails or where they are crossing the road. There’s a ton of deer and hogs on that place and if you set up on sign you’re bound to get a shot on something. Plus with the river being up like it is now a lot of the deer get pushed out of the bottoms and up into the high ground.

Yes sir, I will have both.. The biologist emailed me earlier in the week. Fortunately, our area starts across from the check station on the main road, So we should be good for most areas except the far west end, but I'll have my atv for it.Based on the weather, it should be dry for us..

You oughta have a good time. Last time I was down there we saw multiple bucks chasing does while we were standing at the check station.

I got my best bow kill this afternoon. Nice 8 point. Had two others that walked the same trail, one even went up to my arrow and knocked it down. It was a crazy afternoon.
I’ll post pics when I can.

Awesome. Glad you got a good one. Been wanting to hunt there since I was a kid. Just can’t get drawn.

Don't blame me for your bad decision-
