BCLC gave me a great deal on 3 guns this week! Keeping 2 of them but going to look at selling the .30-378 weatherby in the Sako rifle. This gun is in perfect shape and comes with a vortez 6.5x25x50 scope. There is only one of these guns on gunbroker and the buy now price is $1699 without a scope. I am going to pass on the savings that I got from BCLC. I am asking $1100 with the scope. 3% to aldeer. I am in the Hoover area but travel to Tuscaloosa and Huntsville regularly.

Nice rifle! I owned a Sako rifle and loved it. It was a beautiful rifle that would drive tacks and the fit and finish on the gun was top notch. I have worked through my asset accumulation stage in life and am now thinking about reducing inventory. The buyer will be never want for a nicer rifle. Good luck with the sale.

Any idea what thread pattern it has? It has me curious if my suppressor would handle this cartridge. Says it’s rated for 300 win mag. Surprisingly, this and the 300 are really close in max pressure.

I should know the answer to this because I’m the previous owner but I honestly have no clue.

I will say this however, the rifle is in excellent condition (very low round count) and the action is smooooooth as silk. As priced it’s a great deal and will make someone a perfect long range platform PLUS BigBore is a great guy to deal with.

Looks like the threading is the same as a tikka T3. However I cannot find what that thread is. On the Sako forum it says that the thread protectors fit the TRG-s and the T3. I am shocked that no one has jumped on this gun yet! It is truly an amazing rifle. BCLC gave me such a great deal, I thought the right thing to do was to pass that deal on to other Aldeer brothers. However, I was told today that this gun was made in a very small batch along with the .338 Lapua TRG-s model and it is actually very sought out by Sako collectors and worth much more than I am asking. Check on some forums. I am about to either keep it for myself or put it in gunbroker for a bunch more $$$. Get it while you can.

I would take it to a gunsmith and have the threads gauged properly. If it's factory threaded, it's probably going to be some metric threads. If threaded by a gunsmith, who knows?

Best to know for sure.

No. Not a special order. This gun is a Sako M995 TRG-S. They all came with a factoru muzzle break.
