So new to me trying to put a dent in the corn eaters and something to do at the property as if I needed more to do. So I bought 6 Duke DP coon traps and one doesn’t want to set. The trigger just slides off the dog every time I let it go. I tried to rough up the dog a little to no avail. The others seem fine. What am I missing or is this common with me traps?

Try to flatten the notch that the dog goes in It may have a angle that's letting the dog slip out
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

Is it a 2 way push-pull trigger or one way pull trigger?

God Bless, David B. Just a pull. I think I'm going to have to flatten the notch a bit, only thing I can tell.

Try to flatten the notch that the dog goes in It may have a angle that's letting the dog slip out And make sure they are clean.
