Last weekend I put out a couple of DP's over night and when I came back the next morning the only thing I'd got in them was ants. It was probably just bad placement, but I doubt ants are going to improve my chances. What do you do to minimize them coming for the bait? I assume ant spray would put off coons just as much if not more.

I caught 38 on straight corn last summer. I think it’s more of a trickle catch method, verse something that smells stronger.

I’ve been using corn mixed with peanut butter and some vanilla extract, no ants but every time I try marshmallows all I get is ants. I’m new to this so I’m still learning but I’ve caught 8 in the past few weeks. Gonna set more traps as soon as deer season is over. Right now I’m just putting 3-4 out every few days where it’s convenient to check them
