Ballistics seem to be as good or better than the 264 win mag. You can get a Ruger American chambered in this round which should be a quite accurate flat shooting deer killing rifle with the Hornandy precision Hunter 143g ELDX with a muzzle velocity of 2960 fps. Not sure how recoil is with this round but should be less than a 270. Anyone have an opinion on this round. If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

I have shot 2 deer and neither bullet has exited. Overall I love the gun. I am gonna see if I can find a lighter grain bullet. The 129g SST in the 6.5 Creedmoor is a deer thumping round.
