I guess Ive been slacking in posting recoveries this year, but here is one Ada found. It was 24hrs old, the deer was shot and hunter knew he made a bad shot they waited about and hour and half and actually jumped the deer and backed out. They called me and I couldnt get there that night plus being gut shot and jumped I like to give them plenty of time to die, they wont get any deader but will sure as hell become more alive if pushed. So I told them I could come the next evening. They agreed and when I got there they had an orange hat in the clearcut where they lost blood and jumped him, Ada takes off and goes through the clearcut and we were able to get the buck, he was covered in fireants and flies but it was his best bowkill.

Actually quite the opposite we have been slow this year, I think we've found 8 or so. Last year we found 30 deer by end of season. Although some of the ones we've tracked this year have been seen again or confirmed misses, we also had a big one die about 5 days later, I was called the day and half after the shot and we just couldn't catch up to him, but game warden spotted him on river bank and he had just died, buzzards hadn't even got to him at that point. He called landowner and told him where he was.

I think I'm up to 9 we ran a track up here Indiana Tonite we get back home Sunday and the rut get cranked up around the house it will pick up
