4 hours...I have never had luck moving in the middle of the morning or afternoon

Depends on a lot things. Time and weather (wind, mostly).
Grew up hunting pre-dawn to dark. This was before we had idiotic "shooting times" and could make decisions on our own about things.

I sat yesterday from 5:30 a.m. until dark. Saw 11 deer all throughout the day. How long I sit all depends on the hunting location, the time of the year, and my mood.  I generally do several all day long sits throughout the hunting season. Yesterday was the 4th time this year that I sat all day.
