They don't do it to feel superior. It's the or one of the oldest. I'd say it's probably in the top three or five oldest. I know of two around here that have incorporation papers and/or ownership dating to the late 1800s.

the club, thru very influential members, got a law passed exempting them from paying any property taxes. Pisses the powers in Greene Co off something terrible.

Fellow I work with plants all their fields and hunts some on it. Seen some of it once and it’s a beautiful place with big timber. Got some big deer from what I’ve seen. Won’t name him but I’m sure he will see post and can chime in if he wants

One of my old clients was a member a long time ago. He died a few days ago at 85 years of age.

I've always found it interesting that the club owns the land and when you join you are not paying for a membership per se, but you are buying a portion of the club and own a stake in it.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

If you’re from Tuscaloosa, you’ll probably know some members.

I think the best part is no females in the camp house if you are a wife bringer you have to stay at the love nest down the road.

Grew up hunting in a club across the river in Hale county from Dollarhide. They used to run dogs back then, don't know if they still do. They did a lot of duck hunting on that club also.

It's been said on here before that Dollarhide works a little different. See this thread page 2.
