How are y’all doing on ponds this year? Son and a few of his friends have had a little luck but all gadwalls. Most of them are on the green scum ones. Not in the usual places.

I’ve seen a lot of ducks on clear deepwater ponds

We had a pond full of woodies and teal early in the season, but I have not seen a duck on the pond in weeks. I didn’t get it planted in time, so no food for them to eat. The pond weed is all gone now.

Doc, even our friends in the flat woods have zero.

I have a potential new place that I am going to check out this week. Big swampy area that used to hold thousands of ducks if they were here. Has not been hunted in years. Adjoining landowners only deer hunt. So, we will.see.........
