I thought I'd throw this up here for those of y'all looking for duck boat lights. I have an SeaArk 1860 VPLDCC and almost got myself into a really bad spot running the Tombigbee River at night using only a headlamp. After that I knew I had to quit putting off better lights.

I researched quite a bit and settled on Southern Lite LED, out of Opelika, AL. I like that they're a small AL business and have an extremely good rep and are hunters and fishermen to boot. Also, they use Cree LED's which are made in the USA and SLL offers a lifetime warranty against defects. Gave me a pretty good military discount as well.

I went with the Gun 1.2 light, wired it using relays, and I'm very satisfied. I'll try to update this with pics from running at night. I'm hoping this will allow me to get into spots that I previously have been writing off due to not being able to see.

No affiliation.

Being able to see where you are going definitely helps. I've ran the mighty Tennessee many of times with a half dead spot light, headlamp or some type of sub par lighting added onto the boat.

If I was back in the duck hunting game, you would be able to see me coming from a mile away. No way I would do now what I did then. Money well spent.

I have the same set up on my boat, which is also a SeaArk 1654. On open water, it is a little too flooded, as in the light goes everywhere, but it helps regardless. That light really shines in smaller channels. I ordered mine and received some free snake tubes and those jokers are really bright!

Yeah, I think snake lights are next on my list.

Here are some pictures from Monday night on Smith Lake sorry they're kinda blurry.

Here are some reflective signs about 3/4 of a mile away.

This give you some reference to the size of the spot and flood, which I wired together. You can wire them up separate if you want.

I need to borrow my dad's Ohm meter to see how much current they're pulling so I can estimate run time, but I used them for about an hour and didn't notice any appreciable difference (I don't have a 2-bank charger).

Overall I'm very happy and am confident I can run rivers at night without knocking my prop off.

How many lumens is it?

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I thinks it’s over 20k. Maybe 22k?
