Just wanted to see if anyone has a good recipe for a 270 Winchester using IMR4350 with a 130 Accubond? I looked on the Nosler website at what they reccomend for this powder and bullet combo but just wanted to see what others are using.

Glad I like i4350 I really do. But 270s& 4831 is like ice cream and hotcake. Like bacon cooking early in the AM like Nick Saban and short ring wearing jokes 4831&270s just fit together. Have used 4350 with Remington 150 softpoint corelokts a few times and it was good out to 245 yards.

Only hits count.

I don't mess with Ghey guns. grin

But if I were inclined that way, H4350 will work fine with the 130's. Yes, the 'classic' 270 load is 59 gr of H4831 under 130 gr bullets, but 3000+fps will be easy with H4350. R22 or R23 would also be a great choice.

Well I'll just say that my 270 stays in the closet and I tote my 7 mag or 7mm-08 but these are for a friend that likes it. I've read where there are a lot of people that see good results with 55 grains of IMR4350 with the 130 Accubond. Has anyone here tried that combo?

If I was allowed to have only one powder, H4350 would be my choice. You can make it work with almost any of the typical deer cartridges used, including magnums.

Agreed!!

But 60gr of RL 26 and a 150 partition is good for 3000+
Mine preferred 59.5gr

Good luck finding any R26 on the shelves. Haven't seen any in almost a year.

If you use these please practice safety and work up to amount
52.6gr IMR4350/145gr eld-x
54gr IMR4350/130gr sst
These are my go to with IMR4350 out of an old rem700 ADL
I was on the fence between Ramshot hunter and IMR4350. If i can't get IMR4350 or run out i will use RS hunter in it's place as i got basically the same data but i have to use a tad bit more of the RS.
