I'm sure he's stepping away from the team to focus on his recovery and to enter the NFL draft. As big of a name as he is in sports, It's probably easiest for him to go on and have a Press Conference so it doesn't get misconstrued.

Yes, and then he'll only have to address it one time. He'll say he's got to think of his family's future, which is probably true, and he appreciates all the support he has been given, and it is time to concentrate on his recovery, yada, yada yada.............he's a good guy so he'll thank God a time or two with sincerity. good luck to him if he moves on. If he doesn't he's taken too many blows to the head.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
I'm guessing by entering the NFL draft in lieu of staying he has probably considered his brothers opportunity to be the starter next year. Plus the money and the chances of getting injured again. Lot of things to consider for him and his family.

I feel as though its the other way around. With the overwhelming majority expecting him to go to the NFL draft he could easily announce that on his social media accounts. I think he may be announcing a comeback to complete unfinished business. I could be completely wrong, but that's my opinion.

He said he is coming back next year and he is gonna skull drag au on his way to the natty and the Heisman trophy....Rotide ! At least that's what his intrepreter said.
I think he'll go pro. He might not go in the first round but I suspect his agent will make sure the contract is performance incentive laden to makeup for dropping in the draft.

With all this interest in Tua by the Aub's I think they are just praying he doesn't come back. If he does come back y'all please don't kick your dog ok?
You know you must be playing for a Great Program when a dang college kid calls for his own press conference....and actually have anyone show up.... RDTR.....

I didn't watch it but based off of the quotes I've seen, I think it was a plea to the NFL teams with picks in the top 15 to make a commitment to him, provided he is given a positive medical outlook, that they will take him in the top 15. It's a financially sound move on his part, and if he doesn't get that commitment, then he comes back.

I don't care enough to watch it, and stand by my original statement. I wasn't being critical of him, and I think it was a good idea. You snowflake bammers need to chill out. Just because you got left out of the playoff for once doesn't mean everybody in the world is picking on you
I simply think that he thought he had his mind made up and then wavered after it was too late to cancel. I don't think he is the type person to cause people to waste their time and money to hear him say nothing.
Maybe he was coming back and his family said "what about us and your brother?" or maybe he was going to go pro and Saban talked to him about commitment and loyalty or maybe he was just being a wishy washy kid. All understandable. Wavering is surely a better reason than having all those people there on the company dime to hear nothing.

The good young man probably gets 100 requests a day to answer questions; so I am sure the only point was to go out there, let them ask their questions , and go make a decision with his family and advisors. Class young man and an example for others; regardless of the jersey he wears now or in the future

I agree with all of that, but he made quite a few references to this being a financial decision based off of the quotes I read. He has a multi generational financial decision on his plate. While it's nice to think he was just catering to the people and answering some questions, I can't help but believe he was sending a message to NFL owners
You can bet Brice Young is watching...and maybe a few uncommitted receivers?
Tua is the reason Young committed to Alabama. They are pretty much the same size dual threat quarterback. He said recently that they wouldn't have considered Bama due to them being more of running the ball offense instead of passing like the last two season. He also said that he wasn't afraid of the competition.
Tua probably speaks better than most of the people on here. Lol!
He appears to be a well raised young man. I recently saw another well known qb at his younger sisters basketball game, I dont know about his raising but his little sister was the most obnoxious little girl I have ever seen. Maybe the parents spent too much time on big brother and little sister suffered for it, I dont know but it was a sight to see for sure.
