What are everyone’s thoughts on brands? Can you actually grill on them also?

One of my sisters has had a Traeger pellet grill for 9 years. She loves it, grills a couple days a week on it usually.

I have a Pit Boss series 5 pellet smoker.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

I got the pit boss from lowes. Yes you can grill or smoke on them. They are easy and I have been very pleased in the first few months of owning one. A bag of pellets will last 15-20 hrs

Pit Boss is a very good pellet grill
I’ve had mine for I year and have used it regularly for anything from steaks to smoking chicken and brisket
It keeps an even temp and will heat past 500 degrees

When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself
The older I get the better I used to be

Don't most pellet grills come with a free subscription to the Wine Cooler of the Month Club? That should help offset the costs.

You lift your pinky while you took a sip of your premier whine as you typed that? laugh
Who really gives a rip if it simplifies cooking, is consistent, versatile and produces a good product.

I love my traeger. Been cooking on it 5 years.

I heard someone describe pellet grills akin to easy bake ovens for adults lol.
The Pitboss looks pretty interesting having a 5yr warranty.

They are the standard cooking equipment for the 6.5 Gheymoor crowd.

yes it may be cheating to grill on one. but so was hunting over corn last year.
Pit boss customer service was great for me. the lid was sticking while cooking and had to pry it open after it cooled. They suggested a few quick fixes. They didn't work. a week later pitboss sent me a new lid. it all good now.
Easiest Rib I've ever pelleted.

I have a pitboss also. It does a good job if you get one go to Amazon and get a pellet smoke tube. You put some pellets in it and light it and it gives smoke the whole cook. Also all pellets are not created equal.

i have a pit boss and sure do love it. Put what I want to cook set the temperature and wait till cooked. But it sure eats up a lot of pellets if you cook on high temp.

Yep, I really like my pit boss. The convenience of gas with the flavor of charcoal, I’m ok with easy to use.

Didn't read through the thread but what I understand is they lack the high temps. If that's important to to you then...
