So I just got a good supply of 150gr Partitions and Accubonds and plan on trying to find a good load for them. I have a pretty good selection of powders to try in the usual flavors. But where should I start? I have Varget but have never seemed to find it very accurate anything that I tried it in. I do have IMR4064 RL15 RL17 IMR4895 3031 BLC2 And probably a few others These are going to be for hunting whitetails and hogs velocity in the 2700+ range is preferred and I'll be satisfied with 1" or better groups.
No I haven't even look at my load data books, but these are powders I know should work well in the 308

TAC works very good with 150 gr bullets in the 308.
Of those you listed, I would try R15 or BLc2. R17 is too slow for light bullets in 308.

Go with the 4895 and accubonds. 3031 is underrated as a powder. Save that 4064 till you get a .35 Whelen you'll thank me then.
Only hits count.

I got better velocity with Varget than I did with RL15, but that was with 165 grain Partitions and Accubonds.
83% of all statistics are made up.

For a 308 in the 150-165 bullet range, I suggest you try IMR-4064 and RL-15
