Gus offered 5 year 30mil extension... can someone verify that's really close to sum people down there...

Sounds about right. I don't know any Auburn fans that like Gus. I am sure there are some I just don't know any personally.

Don’t think that is accurate at all. If he has a good year next year he will get an extension.

Define good. Beating Bama or winning the SEC?

I'm through with Auburn if they give this bum an extension for a 9-3 season where he was 5-3 in conference play and a handful of plays were the only reason we didn't finish 7-5, 4-4.

I don't care if we did beat Bama, Gus sux. Fire his azz.

central ala,
I don't know what any of them make but he should be paid more than Harbaugh. He's better.

That's less than his current contract, which is still good for another 5 years.

Why would Gus or his agent (Jimmy Sexton) agree to take less money?

Also, his current contract runs through the end of 2024.

I don't either, and I'm an Auburn fan. Unfortunately the AU boosters are happy with a losing season, year after year, as long we beat Bama once in awhile

Losing season? When is the last one of those we have had? Chizik?

One defeat is a losing season. You're either #1 or you are not.

I never thought I'd see an Auburn fan that grasped that. LOL!

Outback for the win. Even as an AU fan, this man gets it. Sooner of later the AU faithful will recognize the truth spoken in the immortal words of Ricky Bobby "if you aint first, your last". Championships are what matters. Big single wins here and there are nice but at the end of the day, if you're not playing in the final college game of the season, you're just one of many in the pack, chasing the real winners and wishing you were there. Congrats on beating Bama.

This is one of many personal conflicts that I wrestle with every day.
I've been an Auburn faithful for nearly 40 years, but rarely have I been proud of them.
I believe in loyalty and it sickens me when fans swap sides just to feel better about themselves.

Bingo. Beating Bama should be viewed as another step on the way to a championship, not a goal. The main goal should ALWAYS be to win the championship. Too many Auburn people have confused beating Bama with the ultimate goal.

I'm happy with the win, but the season has not been a success, not even close.
