Sold a portalette couple weeks ago, donated my 3% just now

Sold a XDS about three years ago. I cant remember if I paid With late fees and other fees I probably owe about $3,000. Just sent $30. hope that will keep me off the band list.

Our team is so poor we're on food stamps and welfare.

I haven't bought or sold anything on here. But the other day something finally caught my eye, and I looked up the sellers profile, because he only had like 9 posts. Every post he had made was either the classified ad or a comment on the item.

3% should be mandatory for all members.and minimum post count to sell on here.

Or maybe 5% or more for new members

I sold my wood chipper thanks to ToothDoc for the referral. I was glad to send my $100 because I didn’t have to deal with the crazies on Craigslist.

I sold my Summit to Ben2 and rounded up and gave more than 3% just because it’s not much money to keep a good thing going here. I’ve listed a bunch of other stuff on here that I either just traded straight up with no money exchange, or didn’t even sell at all. I haven’t had much luck selling items here. Guess nobody wants my junk!

Thank Ya'll to those who have sent in. If its only a $1 on a sale that is what its about. We try to keep this place as cheap as possible. I looked into ads on facebook, holy smoke's, a simple shop store there is several grand a year, and you never know what kind of asshat you may end up dealing with.

I don't think charging someone to be a membership is a good idea. I like this website but not sure I would pay a monthly or yearly subscription Im sure there are other people who also think that. Now I don't mind donating every now and then. Now $5 for the first add and then 3% after that seems like it would be the best idea, however I do realize I am not a moderator so my opinion does not matter what so ever. Just my $0.02

I'm working up something honest that I think most folks can live with and it wont costed nuthin.

Just a thought Skinny.......... How about a working thread that users post "I made my 3% contribution for my _____ " It'll always be commented in, therefore making it always at the top, therefore reminding users.......... I dont know, trying to help.

Call them out in their thread.
If they claim sold on another site, the member who purchased should call them out for public ridicule for not only selling and not paying but lying to dodge.

That is a good point snakebit, but nobody has any time to police the facelists and craigbooks. over 3% on a hundred dollar lawn mower sale ($3.00). This is really a kind of social problem. Its just 3%. I have a few solutions in mind but really the honor system is so much easier on me and everyone else. Many folks have paid more than their 3% to try and make up for the asshats. I may just put a gate up and make folks pay at the door. so that they do not have to risk being dishonest.

I'm going to be sure and write "sold to me" on posts that aren't flagged by the seller as sold...

I just sent $20. I’ve traded several items over the past couple years and sold a couple small things. I don’t think I’ve sent my 3% in every time but I’ll make sure I do going forward.
