What... So you're Dr. Phil now?

I think that would be classified as a "term of endearment" for someone you love and is perfectly normal.

... Now totally psyching our every field goal kicker that you have ever recruited is not normal.

No, it is not normal to use a term of endearment in every situation. They have names and that is how they are normally introduced. I don't have to be Dr. Phil to know that, although I bet I've probably had as many psych classes, or close to it, as Dr. Phil.

Is “miss” a term of endearment? I think it’s extremely weird. Doesn’t Miss traditionally mean an unmarried woman?

Boy, you fellers fester on some odd things.

A guess here, but since day 1 his players probably started referring to his wife as Miss Terry, or Mrs. Terry or whatever it is. Maybe he started it, maybe the players started it. The “Miss or Mrs.” is a term of respect and by using her first name it’s a lot less “authoritive”.. a little more friendly than Mrs.Saban.

To me it’s no more different than a grandpa referring to his wife as “Grandma, MeMaw, GiGi, Nanna”or whatever his grandkids call his wife.

Irishguy refers to his lady as Mrs.Irish. None of us have ever thought that was odd. I guess because most of us have never met him or his lady...majority of us have never met Nick or his wife either.

I don't think AU fans are satisfied with 9-3 or 8-4 and beating Bama every now and then. The idiots that renew Gus's contracts are though.

Nope, I'm not satisfied at all with where the program is now or the future outlook. I was disappointed that fans thought the victory last night was worthy of rushing the field. Winning that game was the difference between finishing 5-3 and 4-4 in conference play, and that damn sure ain't what I want our program to celebrate.

This^^^^

Yea, rushing the field for beating a team that the majority of Auburn fans felt were overrated or etc makes rushing the field seem a little forced and hollow, but they won, so they had that option.

The kick six win was worthy of rushing the field.. the way that the game ended, ruining championship hopes, securing their own chance at a title and etc.

The fans rushed the field for beating a team that had no chance at an SEC title and what was essentially no chance at making a playoff appearance. I didn’t get it, but I’m not a fambly member. Fans rushing the field all but guaranteed that Gus isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

No problem if that is what he calls her around the house, but if he introduces her to other adults as that, yes, something is bizarre. Not necessarily in a bad way, but certainly not normal.

The exact words that came out of my wife and sons (he attends AU) mouth.

I only call her Mrs. Irish on here. At home I usually call her "Pooh Bear" or "Pumpkin." So I guess Jawbone's judgement as to my mental fitness should begin immediately. grin

I was thinking the EXACT same thing most of this season. He does not appear to be himself. I'm not a fan either, however I do love college football and of course follow AU and UA pretty close. Saban's actions, responses, and mannerisms are a bit off. Sorry, I work in the medical field and tend to be acutely aware of changes such as those mentioned. Something just ain't right.

In a private setting he does not introduce her that way. In the public setting, especially the "football" setting, he most of the time refers to her as "Miss Terry".
