You and I have had this discussion about winning on the HS level. In particular at Autauga Academy. They hired a questionable coach just for the "W". He was arrested last night. Now, with his past and this arrest, we will see what they are willing to tolerate for the "W". I'm saying they will overlook it. What was he arrested for? He probably should've been arrested already but the parents of the girl from Edgewood didn't want to put her through an investigation and all that happens afterwords as long as they got rid of him. To be clear also, what they knew he did, was morally bankrupt, but perhaps not a clear violation of a law. It would have taken an investigation to uncover illegal activity, if there was any. .
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Well that is no surprise. My money is on them keeping him. They knew why Edgewood got rid of him and if that didn't matter a little ole DUI is no big deal. But then again, I know some money people that are tired of him. Actually, they never wanted him from the start. So it may be interesting.

Wow. Of course Hoover was willing to look the other way when Rush Propst was coaching, until a media spotlight was shone on his life.

You have to understand the culture. It started with OJ Howard. The school caught lightning in a bottle. Because of some zoning BS, Howard ended up at AA. The #1 rated TE in the nation coming out of HS. Because of location, pretty soon Saban/Smart, Malzahn, Richt, etc. was hanging around the school. The people there liked rubbing elbows with the big names. Howard is in the NFL but the people still want to rub elbows with the big names. They still want the "in" feeling. They will do ANYTHING to be relevant in college football.

Autauga Academy has released a statement. "It will be handled within the family". I know what that looks like to me. I saw that and we know exactly what it means. As an example of how far they will go, literally, AA is almost to Prattville and they brought in two kids from Selma to play for them this year. I've seen plenty of other AISA schools do this and it works great for a while with the winning and then something will happen and it will go away for awhile and they will be a normal AISA team and lose as many or more than they win, get tired of the losing and go back to the scholarships for football players. I've seen a couple of schools close the doors because it is running off the tuition payers.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Well, they have overlooked rape allegations and now it appears they will overlook an arrest for DUI. I would say this guy has tremendous job security. I'm not saying there were Rape allegations at Edgewood, because it didn't get investigated enough to learn if this was so to my knowledge. What those parents said, and it was documented, were very inappropriate emails to an underaged student. He also liked sending Richard pictures of himself out.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
