Has anyone ever had success hunting a green field on the morning? For some reason I have only hunted hardwoods in the morning.

If i was gonna hunt a good plot in the morning it would be after 9am just from working in pastures...ive never hunted a field in mornings or before rut but that's just cuz I like woods more...

I have. Especially on really cold mornings or during the rut. It’s all about pressure in my opinion....the human kind.

Saw 16 deer 6 bucks before 9 come through a plot Saturday morning. Never had that type of luck before but they definitely filtered through that morning.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I’ve killed a lot of deer over the years on food plots in the morning.

Killed a big 9 point in the rut in a food plot after a snow storm. Does feeding in plot and bucks came in 1 at a time checking the does out. thumbup So next time it's cold and snows don't sleep in like the idots will tell you. Yes they do eat frozen food plots. Killing that big 9 point cured me off of waiting for the food plot to thaw. rofl

I never really had but most of my cameras are on fields and it really suprised me how many deer used them in the mornings. 9 to 12 having the most activity

You haven't been blocked until you've been flock blocked!!!

My son killed his first deer this past weekend sitting on a food plot. We got in the shooting house at 6am and he shot at 6:55am. 2 deer were in the field feeding.

I have killed several quality bucks off plots in the AM. I especially like hunting plots in power lines in the AM when they start roaming and checking does

A good clover patch on a cold still morning at first light during the rut.

All depends on the plot

I got a wall full from one certain plot.

All but one during the rut.

8:00-9:00am around here. Its not going to be like in the evenings but they will come through. During the rut, especially on a good cold sunny day, a buck might trot through a field at any time of the morning. Ive never seen one stick around long though.
