What powders have y'all had luck with / recommend for 300 Wby? Traded around and ended up with one and a good bit of once fired brass.

Haven't decided yet. Probably start with a 165 Accubond or Hornady Interbond, maybe a 180. Right now it'll be just to see how I like the rifle/cartridge. In time I may play around with some 200s or heavier but this will be a bean field gun if I like it and I figure most all 200s and up will be to tough for Alabama deer. The 208 Amax might be an exception there.

I use R22 in my 300 Weatherby under a 168 gr TTSX for about 3300 fps. IMR7728 is also an excellent choice in most Weatherby guns.

Look into Hornadys 212 grainer. Rl22 is the choice of Aldeer magnumitis folks try it.

I have a 300 Weatherby

It shoots the Barnes 165 TTSX really well.
I've been trying multiple loads for the 180gr Barnes, but haven't had good results.

[Linked Image]

Barnes 165 gr TTSX and H 4831SC at close to max capacity works well in my gun.

Looks like something that would come in handy if a tyrannosaurus gets out of his pen.

No the pen raised ones can be killed with the .223. It's the free range ones that are difficult to kill.

I usually shoot 7828ssc with the 165gr range of bullets.
