How much will it end up costing you?
He said 70 bucks plus shipping. That is for the base and installation.

As previously mentioned, the cylinder walls on a 12 ga are thin to start with. Without drilling through the chamber wall, you might get 4 threads - maybe. Not near enough to hold reliably. I don't want the headache of trying to fix it later when the threads pull out after being bumped against something.

This will be the 4th season I've been shooting mine with jb welded sights. I removed the finish down to to steel on the barrel and sights and glued it. I have shot a dozen or so 3" shells through it since and it is solid. Fingers crossed but I really am confident that it will stay. I've done more than a few that way that haven't come back. They were more experimental than anything and I didn't charge for them, but I haven't heard any negative reports.

I'll post up mine. Did they solder/alumaweld it? From what I can tell it was just drilled and tapped.
