If everyone on your street feels the same as you then read the bylaws and get them removed from the board. I assume the board is elected by members or the ones I have lived in were. This is the best response as if they are power tripping and others share your view of overreach then vote them off.

I dont know how yall stand living in a HOA. The vast majority of HOAs don't cause any problems, and keep your home value reasonable, and keep the neighbors from putting an old truck in their front yard on cinder blocks, keep their yard from becoming a forest, and keep them from putting their stepson in a trailer house in the front yard. I've personally never talked to anyone who has had any trouble with them. Maybe so but i have no plans of ever moving so I want my home value as low as possible for tax purposes. Keep the closest neighbor at least 500 yards away and I really don't care what the neighbor does. I ain't living under a HOA.

I'm not crazy about having neighbors that close either.

Round up is a great idea. Take down window shades and blinds. Walk around in the house naked all the time. Maybe even stick a careot up your ass and have it sticking out. Once they comolain, you can file charges against them for voyerism. That is just a start. What if they show up in a BUNNY suit? Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Holy cow - absolutely hilarious.

Sow rygrass in their front yard that spells ASSHOLES in big letters. Then file a complaint with the HOA about vulgar lawn displays. A nice note on the front lawn using nitrogen would be mighty neighborly . They can mow it but it'll still be green and purdy.

Sounds like being HOA president may be worse than being hunting club president. I did it for two years. I filed many a lien on homes. When they got ready to sell, they had to settle up with the HOA. It was all over non payment of dues. We had very few restrictions but the dues were used to maintain the clubhouse, pool, and park. The worse part was being called about pool violations. Seems I never got a weekend off without being called to come over to the pool and enforce the rules.

First, comply with all the HOA rules. Secondly, be a neighbor to them. Show love and kindness. You can catch more flies with honey than you ever will with vinegar. Take the high road approach with them and give it some time to see what may happen. Yeah, I know, y'all are all gonna say that's not the way things work in the world of today. It worked when Jesus taught it.

1. Utility trailer-guilty- as described, but, only them walking their dogs see it. Any passing car would have to look back to see it. 2. Plastic totes or bags on porch- they have flipping decorations in them, they are literally there only when we are putting up or taking down. I shucks you not, leave them out and go to store, 2 days later, letter in the mail. 3. Cars parking on street- they ain't even my damn cars! Not on my property! Got 3 of those letters 4. Today- I been bugging the shucks out of City to cut a damn tree down that was sinking and leaning towards the house because the storm water drain is blown out. City storm water people finally came and said "oh shucks yep that's on us" Tree cutter came today, guess who rolls up demanding a damn tree removal permit! Tries to shut em down for 20min. I'm a get that letter in a couple days and then TSWHTF. I'm driving I'll be back, ho*y sh/t wheres the tylenol just hide your trailer better and explain to them that the totes were only out for a couple of hours while decorating and assure them they won't be left overnight. Explain the cars were not yours and on public property, and the tree was the city's business...and that both of those cases are out of your control. seems pretty cut & dry....why make this harder than it needs to be?

I've personally never talked to anyone who has had any trouble with them. Exactly..........the good stuff they do doesn't make Facebook, or message board posts, or Fox News Headlines.... " HOA Forces Veteran to Remove American Flag" will get 1,000,000 clicks on Fox News. " HOA Forces Homeowner to Move Broken-Down Car to Backyard and Cut His Grass" will get, maybe, 10 clicks. I would be happy to deal with having to keep my utility trailer hidden and specific rule about what type of garden flag I could have in the front flowerbed if it meant the guy across the street couldn't keep his food truck parked in his driveway, or the guy 4 houses down didn't have a camper set up in his front yard, complete with power/water run to it and the slide-out extended (and been that way for a year), or the house up the street that literally has siding and trim dangling off the side of the house.

Roundup their yard, plants, shrubs, flowers, etc. I had an idiot neighbor who would call the police mid afternoon when my kids were playing basketball in my driveway. All kinds of stuff like that. It didnt help that he was a huge democrat\environmentalist. He was the first person I knew who had an electric car. He even used a manual reel mower to cut his grass. So.... being the super nice guy that I am I helped him out. About every 4-5 weeks right before a rain, when he would leave for work, I would put out 150# of 33-0-0 on his half acre yard. My across the street neighbor (who also hated him) and I would sit in my front yard and watch that poor bastard mow the grass. It was awesome. I dont think he ever figured it out. I did that for about 3 years until they guy got transferred and moved away.

I served on the board and was treasurer of my HOA for 4 years. I only planned on doing it for 1 year, but stayed on longer just to prevent the 2 or 3 azzholes on the board who always wanted to nose into their neighbors business and push the rules beyond what was allowed by covenant. It's these types that are the problem, and they are just like a bully in that you just have to stand up to them.
Do the rygrass thing in the middle of the night and make sure the letters are BIG. 👍👍

Nice! some of my dads sales crew use to do this to some of the salesman when they would catch them out of town for pure meanness. Would also plant turnips in their yard in the fall as well.
