hmm, that sux ... guess i'll look at Leupold next time around - whenever that may be

The older Nikon Monarch UCC was slightly better than a Leupold Vari-X III in glass quality, same glass as a Bushnell Elite 4200 from what I gather made in Japan around the same time

I’ve only got one - a Prostaff 50mm on my ML. No complaints with it, but I’m a big Vortex fan anyways.

The old 2.5-10x56 30mm Nikon Monarch Gold was the best scope they ever made imo.

The only scope I had to send back for warranty work. It’s still not fixed. No loss here.

I still have an old Monarch from the 90’s that is still a great piece of glass. The only other Nikons I have are a Prostaff ML and a Prostaff Rimfire. Both have been fine so far.

Their Rimfire scope was a good one for a .22.

Weaver May be gone, too. Bushnell bought them out. I’ll miss weaver for some of their offerings, but not Nikon. If weaver had offered more heavy hunting reticles, they might have taken some serious market share back.

When did bushnell buy weaver?

Yep Weaver is done, they discontinued the entire line this past summer.

I had it on a 17hmr which does have a tiny kick and it did break at that exact moment so I guess it really couldnt handle the recoil. I really like the scope and I hope they fix it and it stays fixed.

Fun fact, the dumbarse who ran their sport optics division into the dirt almost died after swallowing a fried chicken bone at Chicken Shack in Luverne. The world class doctors at the Luverne hospital were able to save him though

You're probably right about that. You should've seen that yankee going to town on that chicken though. Poor ol prick hadn't ever tasted anything like some southern fried chicken. He was basically inhaling it and all of a sudden he got real quiet. Damn yankees

I have had a lot of scopes. Only sent one brand in for warranty repair. All nikons 4 different ones. One was for broke crosshairs in a buck master and the other three was monarchs.

I never liked nikon. They all seemed too bulky to me.

Happy with a couple Nikons I have. And in the market for another scope. Guess it won't be a Nikon... Thanx!
