I have a couple pounds of imr 4350 and a pound of imr 4895. I'm loading 150 gr ttsx . The barns reloading manual doesn't list 4350 for 150 's but does with the 4895 . I've read that the 4895 can be pretty temp sensitive. What I'm trying to ask is has anyone had trouble with accuracy with the 150 gr ttsx imr 4350 combo. Thanks

IMR4350 will work with the 150's. Both powders will have some temperature sensitivity, but I wouldn't be very concerned about it unless you are at max load and shooting in very hot weather. Nosler lists a max load of 59.0 he IMR4350 for 3000 FPS and Sierra lists a max load of 58.4 gr IMR4350 at 2850 FPS.
I would work up to around 59.0 gr and look for any pressure signs or if you have a chronograph, work up until velocity is around 2950 FPS and use the most accurate load nearest to max velocity.

I used to load 58gr 4350 under a 150 gr Nosler Partition, for prolly 20 years. Accurate.

4895 is more ideal for 30-06 probably perfect burn rate for the cartridge.4350 will run into compressed loads more often and is a little on the slow burning side for that cartridge but I'd try both one might shoot lights out compared to the other especially if that's all you got.just have to try it out and see no one knows how that particular rifle will do with either

58 of 4350 under a 150 is like the Chevy smallblock of '06 loads. Found 4895 better suited to the .308 family. Since your loading ttsx's watch pressure when you get close to max.
Only hits count.

I loaded 20 rounds with 50.5 gr 4895. Shot a 5 shot group. Last 4 shots made one ragged hole at 100 yards . I believe that dog'll hunt ! Fixing to go roll another 30 of them.

I never heard 4895 was temperature sensitive. Never loaded IMR 4350 for a 30-06 but it shines in my 280 with 154g bullets. If you have a 30-06 that won't shoot 165 grain bullets with IMR4350 or H4350, you should throw that rifle away.

Both are great in the old ‘06. I’m currently loading H4350 behind a 165 gr Accubond in a finicky Ruger 1.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm doing something or just lucky I have 2 rifles that shoot everything I load really well. I have a Ruger Mark II in 30:06 and a Rem 700 in 308. Everything I've loaded in between 150 to 168 has shot great in my 308. I use different powders different bullets, (Nosler, Hornady & Seira). The same for the Ruger. Except I have loaded a 125 Nosler BT as well as a 190 LR Nosler for it. Both guns shoot everything in between 150 -168 really well, regardless of powder or bullet brand or weight. Is that normal?

First. It would depend on your definition of shooting great. Second, both cartridges have been around a long time and are military based, so there is a lot of information and a wide range of suitable powders and bullets for each. The 308 is not particular at all, and if I had one that wouldn't shoot 1 MOA or better with little work, I'd send it down the road.
But some guns definitely show preferences for certain powders, bullets or combinations. For example, earlier this year I tried a combination of H1000 and Sierras new 165 gr TGK bullets in a 7 mm RM. Shot very good @ 5/8" groups, but same bullet with R23 powder at similar velocities would only group @ 1-1/2". Same gun will shoot 140 gr Accubonds into tight groups, but won't shoot the 160 gr Accubonds worth a crap no matter what powder.

The powder that works best for me is IMR 4350 & IMR4064. IMR 4895 is too far behind. If that isn't shooting great than I don't know what is.
