I don't know about the F150, but on the Grand Cherokee you could avoid the auto-off by not depressing the brake pedal all the way to the floor as you came to a stop. It didn't have a button to disable it, though. I can't imagine anyone liking this feature.

PLUS all this bs is adding $ to the price you are paying for the truck!

Forscan will do it.

https://forscan.org

You'll need to read up on using it. I've done it before for my 2016 F150 to change up various things in the ECM. It's pretty good tool.

Heres the guides on how to use it. You'll need the extended license (free) to do it, plus an OBDII reader to connect to your laptop (under $30 on Amazon).

https://forscan.org/howto.html

Here is a spreadsheet of all the codes and things that can be done. Auto start/stop is the first one listed.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...FGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/edit#gid=815852466

Please read the instructions on how to use this program though. It's simple, but you CAN mess up if you change the wrong code in the ECM.

Buc-ee’s Beach Express
I have a new Ford Explorer for work that has a key fob only. Last week I ran down the road to grab a few things at CVS. When I went to get back in the truck the door unlock wouldn’t work. Forgot about the tiny door key in the fob. So I remembered that I had the door card code in my wallet and opened up the door. The dash message read no key was detected. So I started thumbing through the owners manual trying to see how to start this damn thing without a key. And then I remembered at the dealer the other month when I picked it up the salesman showed me that inside the center console is a little slot you put the fob in and it will start. And it did .

Only thing that I could figure is my cell phone, hotel key card and fob all in the same pocket made it go haywire.
