Hard to beat the Vx5 HD series Get one and never look back. I've got a couple of them and love them.

I own a Vari-X III in 4.5 X 14 X 40 and love it. I’ve shot a ton of mule deer and African game with it. I sent it in to the Custom Shop with all my trajectory data from 100 to 1000 yards and they created a custom Bullet Drop Compensator for the scope, complete with a Target Turret and Turret Cover.

You need an Elite/w rainguard for that sloppy mess up there... Definitly wet. 99% of the hunters here road hunt since ya can drive the logging roads. It's like a hwy when season opens. I bike in to non motorized areas to avoid that junk as often as possible
