Just busted me drawing back on him. Makes me sick to my stomach knowing he is most likely gone out of my life for good

Didnt you do the same thing last year or something similar? I may be thinking of someone else

Last year I made a bad shot had several does under me when a buck came in to check on em and one of the does was stomping at me and I rushed a shot. This one just popped up on me it's so thick I never saw him till he was on me he was standing behind a pine tree when I drew back or so I thought I just now when I drew back he bolted

Sorry about that. Hope he shows up agin. It takes a lot of time and work just to get a deer in for a shot. But to get one individual deer to come in is so hard. That's a skill I don't have. I'm sure the next one that comes in will work out.

It's just a deer, he ain't that smart keep hunting he may be back if not another one will take his place no big deal

I wouldn't count him out yet either. I had a hit-lister I clean missed four times one morning because my rifle was shooting high. I had this deers bedding area pinned down, set up on him perfectly, stayed out until a perfect wind and I completely blew it because I hadn't checked my zero like a dumbass.

I killed that deer a week later about 150 yards away from where I missed him. They don't go far.

Hell, you didn't even fling an arrow at him. Give him a couple days and go back.

Feel for ya. I got busted drawing back on a fairly good buck at 19 yards yesterday morning too. Thought his head was behind a treetrunk,but turns out,he'd past it quicker then I thought. He stood there looking at me at full draw while I was setup for him to walk about 5 more steps and have a chip shot,quartered away... the doe I smoked an hour later definitely eased the pain,but having never killed one with a bow before,it still stung. Least you didnt wound him or shave him. He'll be back...maybe...
