My Weaver decided it was time to crap the bed with 11 days left in my deer season lol. Using the boys 270 now. Ordered a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40mm CDS today.
Hoping I like the dial. Not sure about the 4.5 min power but, I don't plan on shooting really close.

I've got three VX3i's in 3.5-10x40 without the CDS. For the money, it is a great piece of glass. I think the 4.5-14 and the CDS will fit very much in line with the terrain you hunt. Good choice.

Sorry to hear that about your Weaver. Be thinking about your “next” replacement if you plan on twisting the dial on that Leupold much at all.

You're only as good as your worst shot-

Leupold stuff dials just fine. Some clicks are just more than others.

I don't gun hunt much, all the research says that if I do the custom dial as prescribed, I'll be good to 500yds pretty easily. If not, Ill leave zeroed at 200yds and shoot like I do now. At almost half price, I'm not gonna complain
