That’s the difference one year made. Pretty crazy how much he’s grown. Honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing what he would look like next year, but if I see him, he’s definitely getting either an arrow or bullet stuck in him.

Is he palmated this year? I'd try very hard to allow him to pass that trait along. Good Luck hunt safe!

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

Yes he is. That’s another reason why I wouldn’t mind letting him live. I’m just worried our neighbors might kill him because our property is not his main territory/home.

That’s the same thing your neighbors are saying

I'd have to know my neighbors have killed some giants before agreeing to let that one walk

I would not think it's the same deer unless his browtines are broken off in last years pics then it would be possible but I dont see it. Both deer seem to be the same age as well

I'm with Ben. I think those might well be two different bucks. He was exhibiting no palmation last year and I would have expected to see at least a little bit of palmation being expressed in his rack characteristics last year.

Here’s another picture of him from last year. Last year he had a little extra mass than most deer so that’s partially why I’m pretty sure it’s the same deer. The shape of his rack and everything also looks very similar to me.
