My does have finally dropped their fawns. The does that feed in my backyard everyday brought them in today for the first time. Pretty cool sight to see and reason i have never shot does around here during bow season.

Not south zone but I saw a spotted fawn in warrior al. about a month or so that was pretty big. I have seen a couple around here that are pretty good size too the past couple weeks, but I have one doe im getting pics of that is still bulging pretty bad. Its awful late but I wonder if she aint still pregnant.

I would say these are around two weeks old. I noticed last week that the does had dropped but this is the first time they brought them with them.

I am in Hayden and all of my fawns are still in spots. Had pictures of 5 last week. Bucks are still grouped up here also, even the bigger ones.

I think they drop pretty late all over the state.

I’ve got about a dozen fawns on camera in Blount county. Almost all of them still have spots. Bucks are all still together.

Well, here's pics of a couple of sets of fawns that were obviously dropped at different times. Probably the small ones are because of a late rut. This is in Geneva county. [Linked Image] [Linked Image] Just remembered I had this picture. Is this the baby daddy of those fawns? [Linked Image]

I have a small fawn born on my place two weeks ago. I have others that were born from late june to end of August.

Y'all do realize that fawns keep their spots for 3-4 months, right?

Does normally wean their fawns at 3-4 months as well. Most of the fawns I'm seeing in Baldwin County are around a month old. I believe the milk is important to the health and survival rate as well. Can anyone seriously say that orphaning a fawn at a month old has NO effect on it's survival? I heard coyote's catch one Sunday morning and put an arrow thru a coyote later that day.
