If turkey season has to open on a Saturday so everyone gets a fair starting date why does bow season open on a Tuesday?

It needs to open the second Saturday of October. This, yes. Every year, second Saturday. The extra days or minus days eventually work out. If you can't kill a deer in 115 +/- days you shouldn't be in the woods. Unless something has changed, I think Tennessee's deer season opens the fourth Saturday of September. It's easy to remember and doesn't lead to the silly opening days in the middle of the week.
