Any of y’all shoot regularly? I’m in the market for a good Over and under. I want 32” barrels. I’ve been looking and reading up on the cynergy cx. What’s another good, not to awful expensive over and under to look at.

The most economical option to the Cynergy is to probably get a 686 with 30's but you can only spend more money from there. I like the 690 and then the 692 as steps up from there but functionally you are just spending more money at some point. Which is ok, I just like the Beretta guns more than the Brownings. That's a personal choice and means nothing. The Citori CX is also super nice..... Ultimately what happens is you get a new Blaser F16 and your 79 year old father shows us with an Ithica 37 from I guess the 1950's. Breaks a straight 100... put his gun back in the truck gives you about 15 seconds worth of pointers and then drives off..... knowing he did that on purpose just because you bought a real expensive shotgun. True story the gun is only as good as the shooter. Starting off with a Cynergy is more gun than you might ever need.

I like 30's but I am not a real big guy and I just think they make a better field gun. The way the gun balances makes all the difference. Shotguns are so much better than what was offered 30 years ago it is hard to believe one with 32's would balance so well but they do. That balance is the difference maker you really need to hold them and swing a few. I would imagine Mark's Outdoors would be a good place to swing a few and see how they feel if you ever come to Birmingham. I would not buy one without looking at a few at the same time.

i shoot sporting clays with the same shotgun I shoot doves and rabbits a 1972 12 gauge remington 1100 with a 28" modified vent rib barrel doesnt make much sense to me to have a dedicated sporting clay gun and then use a different one in the field after all that practice. I usually shoot around 75-80 out of 100 atleast on the course we use

I've shot a few but I can't find a good way to cook them. I agree with what they said, the main thing is to find one that fits you 8nstead of what is nice or what Bob and Bill have.

I shoot sometimes...i like shooting a semi automatic without the plug so i can make sure i dont waste any clays 😃....what goatkiller said is true bout the old 70-80 year olds shooting...they grew up when quail were everywhere and shot more quail than we buy clays nowdays...my grandad won a shoot on a cruise several years ago in his 70's he's 85 now n still can shoot good

Citori myself, but I shoot with others who have top-end CZs. I’m impressed with their fit, finish and triggers. Affordable price point for good handling and shooting guns.

There will be 100 different answers to this question. So, here is my 2 cent.

There is a difference in a $500 o/u and a $5-$15K o/u for the weekly guy shooting clays or skeet. I did it for about 5 years. I had Kreighoff K32, Beretta ASE 90, several brownings. Best swinging gun I had was the K32 with 30" bbls without tubes. ASE was the best work gun built for competition with 28" bbls full sets of Brileys but the comb was too high for me. Last gun I had was Browning Special Sporting Golden Clays in 28" full set of tubes. It was overall a good fitting gun to me and my build. Ran a bunch of 96/100 with that gun. But, it is all about YOUR build and how you shoot. Another good gun is a Browning GTi. You can still find some in good condition for $800-$1200. Good luck with your choice.
