Sup and no. I watch mainly unless it’s one of my big deer. Luckily I have 3 or 4 big deer this year so it may be fun.

I’m here. I plan on “smacking a good one this year.”

I think I'll scout Tuskegee tomorrow afternoon.

Any of y’all going to try and hunt this week. I’m thinking I may try to get in the woods Thursday after class. We’ll have to see. Besides that I’m not sure I’ll be in the woods much until after Christmas. I’m graduating in December and have to stay focused on class u til then but that’s going to give me a lot of free time in January.

I'll be in the woods Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Hope to lay some backstraps on the ground. Shot my bow this evening. It still shoots the same as it always has.

Good to hear. I hope you get something. I’m not expecting much if I go Thursday because it will be a piece of public land that I Have not hunted in 2 years

Thursday I will be on Perdido WMA. I have some private spots to hunt but there are some public land that is better than any club. All the club's around Perdido have been out stomping the woods all weekend. Screwing their woods up. On the back side of their lease is Perdido, where they have just ran all the deer to.....and I'll capitalize on that Thursday under a loaded water oak.

I'll be at it Thursday and Friday. 47° with 6mph north wind should feel like hunting season. I have a couple of 3 1/2 year olds that I'll be after until gun season. I have several 4 1/2 year bucks across the road that I'll give my buddy a couple of weeks into gun season for him to kill one than I'll get after them with the bow. I'll start killing does in November this year, I need to kill 10-15. I had a pregnant doe on camera yesterday,

Anyone have a name for us then post it up.

Saw 8 deer on the side of the road coming home this afternoon. I’ve officially got the itch. I put my bow, boots, and a change of camp clothes in the back of the car this afternoon if I have time I’m going to stop buy some public land on my way home Where I’ve got a spot on the ground I can bow hunt from.

Property, in Chilton County.Im also in a big private
Club in Coosa County.

Chilton and perry mainly

300 acres of private land in Macon county. Also going to poke around on some of the public land here in central al.

I have about 350 acres of family land in Crenshaw county. I have also been hunting Tuskegee a few time and will spend more time up there this year.

You see a lot of deer at TNF? I’d honestly be scared to hunt out there for fear of someone breaking in my car. But I’m willing to bet there are some pretty good bucks there. But if I’m gonna hunt in Macon county I’m going to go to my camp. There is plenty of public land in Autauga county much closer to my house that I can hunt.

I just started hunting up there last year and I was able to get on some deer. You just have to crawl into the thickest places you can find. I'm still worried about my truck getting broke into but I have seen more people walking the road than driving around.

Well that’s good to hear. Our little camp is south of Tuskegee. And we’ve had multiple break ins and stuff to come up missing. Pretty much have to bring all of our valuables back and fourth

Last Thursday. When I saw him , he was directly under my stand. My bow was on the hanger, .
When I went for my bow he busted.me.
I'm back in the same tree this afternoon, it just quit raining,so maybe

I have saw a group of turkeys, which had 3 nice gobblers in it. A whole bunch

I’ll be glad to rid you of those gobblers this spring. I need a good before work spot.

I’m not having a problem seeing deer just seeing bucks.

I just haven’t been able to go any this year. I am going to make up for that in January. I am 100% going to deer camp on opening weekend of gun season though. Hopefully I’ll be able to bow hunt on Veterans Day

Went to the hunting camp today with some of the guys and finished up all of the chores. Got camp cleaned up, unloaded a chord of fire wood, moved 2 stands, hung 2 new stands, "skirted" a lot of our stands, cleaned out the shooting houses, and filled feeders with corn. Im whooped but it was fun and nice to be back at deer camp. I would have loved to of been bow hunting this morning while it was cold but it was nice to get all of the work done, now all we have to do is show up and hunt.

I have to work next weekend but Im going head back to opening weekend of gun season in 2 weeks and my trigger finger is itching, I plan on killing something opening weekend.

Hopefully my biggest deer 11pt gets wacked Saturday by my son but I still have two nice 8s to target.

Finally was able to make it for the first hunt this season. Bumped 3 deer walking to my stand and didn't see a hair rest of the hunt.

hows everyones season going? I have only been in the woods 3 times this season. I apologize for that, I should make up for it in January, I wont be taking classes and ill either be working 3 on 4 off or 6 on 8 off.

Been covered up in deer mainly does and small bucks. I’ve really been trying to get my son on a good one I have rarely hunted myself.

I killed 3 does last week but only saw young bucks. I'll keep shooting does until the end of the year and get after the bucks in January.

I went to Tuskegee this afternoon and had a really nice 8pt come in at 15 yards. I thought I had a clear shot but a limb at 5 yards jumped in the way. My 100gr ballistic tip was no match.

Gotta hate when the trees jump in out of no where

Sorry guys I let a great points deer walk this afternoon but he needs another year. I’ve never passed a 10pt till today.

I got back to Tuskegee and sit all day and he came in about 4:50. 9pt and a toad so it was a long drag. I had a guy stop and ask if he could help and it was still tough on an old man.

Guys sorry for the lac of contribution so far. We went on a 4 day hunt at my camp last week (Thursday Afternoon-Sunday morning) it was 4 guys hunting 300 acres and we saw 9 deer combined. It rained all day Thursday and Friday so we blamed not seeing many deer those two days on the rain. But Saturday and Sunday where beautiful days with cold temperatures and we still didn't see many deer. We still had a good time at camp, ate some good food and had a few beers. But the hunting sucked. I know we have deer on this place because we have 6 cameras out and have multiple groups of does on each camera and at least 18 racked bucks ( not all of them are shooters, but still) It was a very discouraging weekend, we even only saw 1 hog and that area is loaded with hogs. before we left Sunday, we went and filled all of our feeders up. There should be enough corn in them for the rest of the year. We decided not to hunt this weekend and are going to do another long 4 day weekend on the holiday weekend in 2 weeks. Hopefully the rut will be in full swing and they will be moving more in the day time.

As far as this weekend goes. I may try and hunt a little bit of public land here around Prattville. just have to see what the weather looks like.

Its all good its just for fun. I think we actually did pretty good. I only killed one deer this year but it was the biggest buck of my life. This was the worst year for me as far as deer sightings go. we usually average seeing 4-6 deer a sit on the 300 acres we hunt. Not this year, most deer i saw in one sit this year was 3. I never saw a deer on public land this year. Im not sure of why, maybe the baiting law?

Well I wonder if I can get partial credit for the one I killed today? Season is still in and I did technically kill him. Lol

5th place aint to shabby. If i could hav e shot a doe we would have been in 4th.
I very easily could of killed a doe on my lease but we try and only kill 5 a year and sightings were down this year so we didn't shoot as many.

I was hunting a huge 12 point the last 2 weeks of the season.
One evening I had 3 does and a small 6 point out in the feild, until
It got to dark to I could barely see them.
They just took off all the sudden, I rwas wandering
Why. I got down and walked back to my truck.
Then I looked at my phone, spy point camera
The big 12 point was 50 yards in front of me at 5:56 .
That's why the other deer run off.
I was sick on my stomache. He kept comeing
To the feild around 6 pm. I never could catch him
At legal shooting time. He made it through
Season can't wait to see what he is next season.
