I’ve been finishing up planting food plots around here as the rain was falling. I might try to jump In a stand tomorrow and bust me one

I’m here, had one good sit with three does the first week. Expect to have two days in the woods next week

I went the other day had a man of a six point that I’ve been on for a couple years come in. I had him another six point and a nice eight point come in but one stupid doe walked to the base of my tree and let everybody know she wasn’t happy. So I got to watch him walk away. I ended up seeing 8 bucks that afternoon two does and a fawn

I'm going to be light on the hunting early season but plan on hitting it hard late December-Early January and early February

My little man got a nice eight point yesterday. He missed a nice eight and was tore up about it and 30 minutes later a bigger one came out. I had to help him on it because he couldn’t get it together but he calmed down and we made it happen

So I took a doe on opening day. Had like 30 at a supplemented area opening day but I forgot to get pic. I will take another soon as meat was awesome on gameday. I passed a pretty good buck the following Monday in Lowndes on my place ( 9 acres) It is nothing more then a funnel; 3 creeks, 1/2 mile of hawg wire that ends at my boundary. I let the buck go so nephew could get first "rack" buck. He took a HUGE doe instead. Anyway I slept in yesterday and my nephew went to do a quick hunt at my place prior to shift at FD. He had a bachelor group of 7 come in and shot his first "rack" at 6:24 AM. Great first buck! Not sure what he weighed but he was a toad that definitely is a legit 200# plus deer.

Hey guys, nothing buy does right now for me. I've let them walk. I hunt Coosa Co so I'm saving up most of my time for the Jan rut.

I passed a 115-120 9 point last week. Still haven’t taken a doe seeing plenty of them. Thinking of going to my Russell county lease next week what I’ve been told the rut will be kicking in. Good luck fellas

Freezer is full and wasn’t going to mount him. Didn’t see any reason to shoot him. Except to say I killed him. I got enough in the shad

We need to tighten up team. I haven’t been to much but all I have been seeing is young bucks and does. It’s about to start getting better where I hunt

Finally got on the board. I’ve been seeing tons of nice bucks but nothing really big enough for me to shoot. I caught this nice nine point chasing a doe in a clearcut at 1.30 this afternoon. He was about 350 plus yards and I piled him up. Hopefully I can get lucky enough to kill some of the big ones I have running around

Well he was / is a 4 point. No comments about his belly almost being as big as mine. Gosh he was a heavy arse critter. 10:45 AM I AM full in whizzing into a creek and hear he comes. 18 yards. Sun was at my back. My story is my pants legs got soaked pulling from the creeks edge and im sticking to it. Was to tired for a more official pic.

Yesterday I got me a pronghorn looking type 7 pt. buck. He is high and tight. Guess thats an upgrade from a 4 point to a 7 point. Even took a pic for contest that I will post later (where does it go for credit). 6th time I had seen him and everytime it was too dark or moving thru brush. He was big bodied with what appeared to be a white glob of mass between his ears. Well he finally came straight off a hill straight at me. Took an hour or so to carry my chair in and dang I shot him maybe 5 minutes into getting ready to sit all day. Really cool buck. Proud of him!

I've been AWOL lately, haven't even been able to hunt this season so far. Fortunately it looks like I'll be in the game Fri-Mon coming up ... Hopefully I can contribute too.

Today will wrap me up for the year. The new clubs I joined were a bust. One added five more people than was told that were going to be on property and a couple of those guys checked every food plot almost daily driving all the in. Another one added two more people to club and by the tracks they are all riding into the fields. Deer sightings have decreased since mid December. Oh and they both supposed to be 31/2 year old or better clubs. One of the clubs president killed a 12 inch 6 point claimed cull deer weighing 135 lbs. I want be back in with club next year.
